About Alyce's Sirius Styling

The name Alyce’s Sirius Styling came from the star Sirius, which stands for the dog star. The dog star is the brightest in its constellation and can be seen with the naked eye in the night sky.

Here at Alyce’s we take pride in taking care of your dog and giving you and your furry friend the best possible experience. Our groomers are all licensed dog groomers in the state of Iowa and have many years of experience in grooming and care for dogs.

Miss Pate lives on site but has an anti-social attitude. Due to her crankiness, she stays in the back of the shop with her food bowl, the only thing she truly loves! It is a rare sight to see her out and about.

Experienced

Alyce is an experienced pet stylist with over 12 years of experience. She grew up in the pet grooming business, her mom Alicia was an International Professional Groomers Certified Master Groomer (IPG), for over 28-years. Alicia opened this shop in 2007 and Alyce took over in 2018.

Our co-owner Bryan specializes in large breeds and breed specific temperaments, ranging from the high energy Siberian Husky to the timid Mastiff and all bully breeds. He schedules his entire day around your dog, specializing in what we call “Love Therapy” to make your dog as comfortable as possible.

Talented

Alyce grew-up handling and showing Bedlington terriers. She traveled the country assisting and learning, earning her own show quality Bedlington at just 14-years-old. The owner of the Bedlington terrier she assisted in grooming on her travels has since passed away. The dogs owner loved astronomy and came up with our shops name! Sirius is also known as the “dog star,” it is the brightest in its constellation and can be seen with the naked eye.
